At the heart of the iRest Grandease+ (A550) is a 4D massage system, in which the movement of the massage arms is adjusted in the following planes: up–down, right–left and deeper–shallower in relation to the spine. The fourth dimension is acceleration, that is, the pre-programmed speeding up and slowing down of their movement.

Varying the pace during a session makes the movement of the massage arms smoother and more varied, and the massage feels more natural.

A mechanical calf massage, further enhanced by a massage roller on the back of the calves, works intensively on the muscles that are particularly in need of relaxation after a long day. The effects are felt almost immediately, and the pleasant sensation of relaxation and lightness in the legs lingers long after the massage has finished.

The specially designed, split iOpen guide rail allows the massage chair to be reclined into the Flat position. The independent movement of the backrest and seat enhances the capabilities of the stretching programmes and promotes deeper relaxation. As a result, the chair provides more effective full-body stretching whilst retaining the benefits of the Zero Gravity position.

The chair is controlled via an easy-to-use, intuitive touchscreen. The clear menu provides quick access to automatic programmes, massage techniques and key settings, so selecting the right session takes just a moment.

You also have access to the Voice Control function. Just say “Hi Alice” to wake up the assistant and control selected chair functions without reaching for the remote control.

Airbags positioned around the shoulders, forearms, hands, calves and feet rhythmically apply pressure to selected parts of the body, providing a pleasant feeling of relaxation. Thanks to the 5-level adjustment of the airbag massage intensity, you can tailor the level of pressure to suit your own preferences.

Thanks to the synergy of airbags, triple foot massage rollers, mechanical calf massage and a roller at the back of the calves, the lower body massage provides the relief your legs need after a long, hard day. In addition, the electrically adjustable footrest adapts to the user’s height, ensuring maximum comfort during the session.

The SL-shape technology used in the massage chair allows the massager to mould perfectly to the natural shape of the spine, resulting in a comfortable massage from the neck right down to the thighs.
