A fragrant, green forest, birdsong soothing the senses, mischievous squirrels climbing up the tree trunk and that incredibly refreshing fresh air… Something beautiful!
Soon our seedlings will grow into such a beautiful forest – with this thought in mind, full of enthusiasm we planted trees for the third time as part of the FoRest Lords – Together for Nature project. On Friday 19.04.24, as a group of volunteers, we went to the Stare Jabłonki Forest District, where friendly foresters were waiting for us and together we planted 2000 young container pines.
Although the weather did not spoil us, our determination to create a piece of ecosystem that is a source of life did not wane. Forestry staff gave a quick training session on planting and then… spades in hand! In a pleasant company, the work went smoothly and the final satisfaction was incredible. After a few hours, all the seedlings were in the ground and we headed for a bonfire near the picturesque Black Lake. Even despite the sudden rain and hail, the good mood did not leave us. ;-)
The aim of FoRest Lords – Together for Nature is to plant trees every year in Poland and Europe. Planting trees in the Stare Jabłonki Forest District is only part of the project’s activities. We also cooperate with posadzimy.pl and Reforest Action, to which we donate funds for the creation of new, extremely important forests for humanity. This year we donated PLN 11400 to the posadzimy.pl organization which will allow us to plant a further 850 trees.
